St. Paul Lutheren Church & School

Principal Cindy Hammons

Principal Cindy Hammons, a native of Cullman, Alabama, began her service in ministry with us in the spring of 2019. She holds her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College/University, River Forest, Illinois (Major: Social Work; Minor: Psychology). She has earned two Master of Arts degrees, also from the same college, now known as Concordia University–Chicago (one, in Human Services; the other in Elementary Education & Psychology).

With her husband, Bill (who is retired from the Army and is self-employed as a claims inspector/adjuster), they have a daughter, Alyssa – who is employed as a Certified Medical Assistant.  Rounding out the family are their cat, Kitty Kat, and dog, Sherman.

Cindy has previously served as a teacher and administrator at eight different Lutheran parishes, in Georgia, Utah, Wisconsin, and Indiana – coming to us from her most recent position at Zion Lutheran Church & School, Rockville, Missouri, where she served as Principal and multi-grade Teacher (3rd-8th Grades). Added together, she brings over three decades of Lutheran classroom and administrative experience to her “new” position … serving also as a half-day teacher in Grades 3-5.

In her spare time, she enjoys “family field trips,” reading devotional books, and cooking.  And, being close to Ft. Leavenworth, they are able to enjoy the privileges that come with Bill’s 20 years of service in the Army.
